General Information

As a result of the recent enactment of the Education (Admission to Schools) Act, the following details aim to provide parents/guardians with general information in relation to the changes in our admission process. Enrolment for the school year 2026/27 is open for a three week period from the 19th November 2025. Applications received after this time will be considered as ‘late applications’ as per the school’s Admission policy.

Please find our school’s admissions policy here and  our annual admissions notice in respect of admissions to the 2026/2027 school year here.

To express your interest in enrolling your child in Junior or Senior Infants in St. Patrick’s Infants National School you need to complete the form below.

Saint Patrick’s Infants School has 3 Special Classes for pupils with Autism for Junior and Senior Infant pupils only

Applications for the special classes will only be considered if a letter of eligibility from the NCSE confirming that the child is known to them and that the child has the required diagnosis and recommendation for a special class for Autism.

It is important to note that a place in the Junior Autism Class does not automatically guarantee a place in an Autism Class in Saint Patrick’s Boys’ School, or in any other primary school.  Our school caters for Junior and Senior Infants for 2 years only. You must reapply separately to the senior schools for a place for First Class in their Autism Class

Complete the form and post along with your child’s original birth certificate and relevant documents to:

St. Patrick’s Infants N.S., Gardiner’s Hill, Cork. We will copy the birth cert and return it to you as soon as possible by post.

You can also download a copy of the enrolment form below, print and post it into the school office.
