Monday, April 20, 2020. Day 39 since we were last together in school.
Good Morning Everyone
So we are back to our strange new reality for the next two weeks at least and I suspect for a bit longer than that but let’s just wait and see. This time is proving very much a wait and see time – time for us to upskill in personal areas of kindness, patience and optimism. Before I start rambling I’ll get back into the here and now and outline some practicalities.
Teachers and SNAs will be in touch shortly with lots of more fun things to do (fun yes but also very educational) as we all know that everyone learns and lives better when we are happy. Again I stress that schoolwork posted on Aladdin and via phone calls is not to become another stressor in your lives – these few months will pass and children, more than adults, constantly surprise us with how fast they catch up and indeed thrive. Your child will be that much more mature on returning to school and that will stand her/him well.
When that time comes we will assess all the children as soon as they settle back in and of course let you know how well she/he is doing. In the meantime if you have any concerns regarding your child’s learning please contact her/his class teacher as soon as possible or our HSCL and SCP team or me directly – do not wait for our return to school to voice any queries/concerns you may have.
I look forward to seeing you all soon and until then take care, stay safe, stay in and sending you all Lots of Love and Best Wishes,
Anne
