Bees, trees, butterflies, spiders, birds and more helped us to raise our 5th green flag high above our school yesterday!! Well done all! A special thanks to Niamh McCarthy, Cork's silver medal winner in 2016's Summer Paralympics, and Cork city councillor Joe Kavanagh who raised the flag with us. It was a fantastic day with minibeast hunts, planting, and butterfly art, finished with an ice cream in the yard in the sunshine. Thank you to the whole school community for all their help making this day great!
Last Thursday, we collected our latest Green Flag! This flag is for Biodiversity . We will be having a special Biodiversity day on the 24th of May to raise the flag and celebrate all the work we've been doing. Thanks to our Green-schools Committee, Mrs. Kenna, Mrs. Sexton & Mr. Howley, all the children, parents and staff for all the hard work!
